I just finished talking to my mother and sister. I know it is not weekend yet but I was glad that my sister went online today and we were able to talk for a little bit but she had to take off as she have to school. I miss both my mom and sister. How I wish they’re here with me right now.

Valentine’s Day had just passed and I have been busy entertaining my visitors from Delaware and Florida. I honestly forgot to buy my man a Valentine’s gift. No. Erase that! We both forgot about it. We stayed home on Valentine’s Day. We figured that restaurants are crowded and there’s a long wait before you could enjoy your meal. So the next day, we’re both headed to town and found ourselves in the mall strolling looking for a special gift. My husband handed me a gift card sleeves with a generous amount inside at my favorite store. I got what I wanted that day! After all, love is in the air!

So my friends came over to visit me and we had lots of fun of talking, laughing, eating, drinking and playing. We had cooking sessions too. We cooked palabok, spicy noodles and baked chocolate crinkles. We stayed very late for three nights in a row, watching movies, talking and playing with our own MacBooks. It was so nice to have some company who gives so much fun in my social life. Thanks be to God for my good friends!

Last month, my son asked if they could host their band practice in our basement. After a few days of thought, I decided it wouldn’t be that bad. A few hours a week when I need to head into town to get away from the drumming noise – no biggie. Wrong, wrong, wrong. When I say “band”, I don’t mean sheet music and cymbals. I mean ear-splitting electric guitars and deafening drums. And, what I thought was a few hours a week has turned into 6-hour-a-day practices. I feel like we’re going to have to ShoPElecTRicITyRATESTEXAS.com just to pay the power bill with all these amps, microphones and lights on in the basement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for my kids exploring their creative and musical sides, but I think I dream in guitar tunes these days. I’m going to give it a few more days and then I’m going to ‘suggest’ that the boys practice elsewhere. I hate to call it quits, but I think it’s about time one of the other band members’ families was graced with (read: endured) this symphony.

Love isn’t a decision, it’s a feeling. If we could decide who to love, then, life would be much simpler, but then less magical. I am wishing everyone a Happy Valentines Day

I love decorating our house. When we bought our house two years ago, it was plain, simple and we have nothing. I was thinking where I am going to start. What color I should get for my home decors. Basically, my husband and I want everything new. From plates to bed sheets, from appliances to furniture. I was at the store yesterday and looking for floral arrangement that I can put in the bedroom. I noticed that I need decorative switch plate covers to spice up the look of the room or the entire house. It’s time to go shopping for something different!

I had a seven hours layover in Japan and my new found friend and I explore the big international airport of Narita. We were jumping from one shop to another. We were so fascinated with the famous designer brands at Duty Free and when we finally got hungry, we ordered the famous Japanese ramen. It was so good in every bite. The store was filled with different nationalities ordering the Japanese ramen. I would love to have it again.

I have been busy preparing, cleaning and organizing the house for the past few days. Friends are coming over for the weekend. We did some grocery shopping and I have been thinking what food to prepare. I’m done cleaning the whole house inside and out and I’m ready to welcome them on Saturday. Happy Weekend!
